Glenallachie Distillery
The Glenallachie Distillery, located in the heart of Speyside, has emerged as a standout producer of single malt Scotch whisky, thanks to its focus on quality and innovation. Under the guidance of industry veteran Billy Walker, Glenallachie crafts rich, complex whiskies that are quickly gaining acclaim.
Founded in 1967, Glenallachie was relatively obscure, primarily contributing to blends, until its acquisition in 2017 by a consortium led by Walker. Since then, the distillery has undergone a transformation, with a renewed focus on premium single malts. Utilising a range of cask types for maturation, including wine, rum, and port barrels, Glenallachie’s whiskies are known for their depth of flavour and distinctive character. This approach has earned the distillery numerous awards, highlighting its commitment to excellence and the art of whisky making.
