RUM TASTING LIVE AT RAILWAY CLUB - FRIDAY 24th OCTOBER AT 7:15PM

We’re excited to announce our next tasting event — an evening of exceptional rum discovery with Paul McFadyen, Brand Ambassador for Planteray Rums (formerly Plantation). Planteray boasts a wide range of exceptional rums from the Caribbean and was voted the worlds best rum in 2024.

Join us at the Dumfries Railway Club for a guided exploration of eight distinctive rums, showcasing the diversity and craftsmanship that make Planteray one of the most respected names in the Caribbean. From bright and characterful blends to rich, complex aged expressions, we’ll be tasting bottles ranging in value from £28.95 up to £89, offering an incredible opportunity to sample rums you might never have tried before, with up to £20 a bottle off! There will also be a chance to win a 1.75ltr bottle of Planteray XO worth £170 (not available in the UK).

Halfway through the evening, we’ll pause for a hearty sandwich buffet, giving everyone a chance to recharge, compare notes, and chat with fellow rum lovers. Paul will lead us through each rum with his trademark enthusiasm and deep knowledge, sharing the stories behind the spirits and offering insights into Planteray’s unique production methods. Whether you’re new to rum or already a fan, this promises to be a fun, flavour-packed evening filled with warmth, good company, and some truly outstanding rums.
