The Midgie has been crafted by Ardnamurchan in collaboration with Smidge to celebrate Scotland’s most infamous creature the Highland Midge. This new Ardnamurchan release brings together 13 Bourbon barrels, 1 Sherry Butt, 5 Sauternes barriques and 5 Madeira barriques. With a combination of 60% peated and 40% unpeated spirit.

Nose
Fresh and fruity, with notes of green apple, citrus zest, and honey. Subtle hints of malt, vanilla, and a wisp of smoke add complexity.
Palate
Light and balanced, with flavours of sweet malt, orchard fruits, and a touch of caramel. A gentle smokiness and a hint of spice provide depth, complemented by soft vanilla undertones.
Finish
Medium-length and smooth, with lingering notes of fruit, honey, and a delicate touch of smoke. A soft sweetness fades into a light, malty dryness.
