Campbeltown
Campbeltown, once dubbed the "Whisky Capital of the World," boasts a rich whisky heritage.
Situated on the Kintyre Peninsula in Scotland, it had over 30 distilleries in the 19th century. Today, only three distilleries remain: Springbank, Glen Scotia, and Glengyle.
Springbank, established in 1828, is known for its traditional methods and diverse range.
Glen Scotia, founded in 1832, produces a distinctive maritime-influenced whisky.
Glengyle, revived in 2004, produces Kilkerran whisky.
Despite its small size, Campbeltown's unique whisky profiles and resilient spirit continue to make it a significant player in the Scotch whisky industry.
