REGIMENTAL FINE RUBY PORT
MHV Regimental Fine Ruby Port is crafted using traditional port-making techniques. The grapes are hand-harvested at their peak ripeness, ensuring the best quality fruit. After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed, crushed, and undergo a fermentation process in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. Careful maceration occurs during fermentation to extract the wine's deep colour, tannins, and aromatic qualities. Once the ideal level of sweetness is achieved, grape brandy is added to fortify the wine. The port is then aged for a short period in large oak barrels and stainless steel vats to retain its fresh, fruity character.
It pairs wonderfully with a variety of foods. It is best enjoyed alongside chocolate-based desserts, such as chocolate fondant, or fruit dishes like berry compote and cherry pie. It also complements hard cheeses, such as Cheddar or Manchego, and can be enjoyed as an after-dinner drink. To enhance its vibrant flavours, serve it slightly chilled, at a temperature between 16 and 18Β°C. Once opened, store the bottle upright and consume within a few weeks for the best taste experience.
