Casablanca lies 25 kilometres from the Pacific Ocean, where morning fog and cool breezes extend the ripening period. This allows for the development and preservation of delicate aromas and acidity, a crucial factor in producing fine Pinot Noirs. The Leyda Valley, situated nine kilometres from the ocean, features predominantly granite and clay soils, which contribute a vibrant freshness and minerality to the wine.
