GLASGOW DISTILLERY SYRAH WINE CASK
This five year old release is Glasgow Distillery's first use of a Greek Syrah Red Wine cask filled with their unpeated double distilled single malt scotch whisky. Initially matured within first fill ex-bourbon casks, this release has been finished for one year and ten months in Greek Syrah red wine barriques to gain notes of blackberry, raspberry, strawberry jam, black cherry, dark chocolate, and pink peppercorn.
Bottled at a cask strength of 59.3%, this is a limited release of only 652 bottles.

Nose
Rich dark fruits meet vibrant vanilla and toasted oak; opulent notes of blackberries and raspberries with a scattering of pink peppercorns.
Palate
Juicy notes of fresh strawberries and cream give way to waves of darker fruits, black cherries and fresh raspberries with ongoing notes of dark chocolate and freshly ground espresso.
Finish
Long-lasting with notes of charred oak, dark chocolate, liquorice, and a cracked black peppercorn spice.
