BRUICHLADDICH LIVE TASTING 12TH JUNE, RAILWAY CLUB, DUMFRIES, 7PM FOR 7:30 START

We’re delighted to welcome Sarah Wood, Bruichladdich Specialist Retail Manager, to Dumfries on Friday 12th June, and then online on Friday 26th June, for two exciting tastings with a returning iconic release from this historic distillery.

Bruichladdich's modern revival began in 2001, when a private group led by Mark Reynier, with Jim McEwan as master distiller, reopened the distillery. This era reshaped the distillery’s identity: Islay barley, transparency, wine-cask influence, local employment, unpeated Bruichladdich, heavily peated Port Charlotte, and super-heavily peated Octomore all became central to its reputation.

In 2012, Bruichladdich was acquired by Rémy Cointreau, who still own it today. It has continued to present itself as one of Islay’s more progressive and terroir-focused distilleries, with a strong emphasis on provenance, barley, cask experimentation and production on Islay.
