The inaugural release was praised, amongst other things, for price, branding and quality of liquid, all of which are consistent for this release. The DNA of Aberargie can be distilled down to four key pillars; Golden Promise Heritage Barley, Laureate Barley, First Fill Bourbon Casks & First Fill Sherry Casks. This release showcases their Barley. 

Aberargie's Laureate Expression showcases a newer generation of barley, selected for its resilience and exceptional flavour potential. With a 68% influence from first-fill sherry casks, balanced with 32% first-fill bourbon maturation, this whisky brings forward Laureate’s vibrant and elegant profile, with notes of candied orange peel, dried fruits, ripe orchard fruits and a lasting honeyed finish.
