Bruichladdich 18 Year Old is a mature expression of the distillery’s unpeated Islay style, bottled at 50% ABV. It is matured entirely on Islay, mainly in ex-bourbon casks with a small proportion of wine casks adding extra depth. The whisky uses spirit from Bruichladdich’s first crop of home-grown Islay barley, alongside organically grown grain and selected Scottish mainland barley varieties, with full farm-to-glass traceability. It is non-chill filtered, colouring-free, and bottled using Islay spring water, giving a whisky that balances provenance, texture, ripe fruit, oak and coastal freshness.
