LAPHROAIG 12YO WATT WHISKY
Distilled in 2014 and matured for 12 years in a hogshead, this independently bottled Laphroaig shows the distillery at its unmistakably coastal and smoky best. Bottled at 57.1% ABV from a release of just 330 bottles, it combines muscular Islay peat with maritime salinity, citrus and oily medicinal notes. The relatively restrained cask influence allows plenty of classic Laphroaig character to shine through, with smoke, sea air and mineral notes balanced by touches of sweetness.

Nose
Coastal peat smoke, grilled lemon and grapefruit with sea spray, smoked barley, spearmint and a touch of iodine.
Palate
Oily and powerful, with bonfire smoke, charred citrus, salt, damp wood and medicinal peat alongside hints of tar and mineral notes.
Finish
Long, smoky and maritime, leaving dry ash, sea salt, medicinal peat and a lingering touch of citrus.
