CHATEAU DE PITRAY "LES PRAIRIES"
The 2020 vintage of Les Prairies from Château de Pitray reflects the excellent growing conditions of the year in Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux. A warm and dry season with timely rainfall resulted in ripe, concentrated fruit and wines with generous character and polished structure. This vintage offers a modern, fruit-driven style with the classic poise of Right Bank Bordeaux, making it a great choice for both casual enjoyment and pairing with food.
Nose
Expressive aromas of ripe blackberry, black cherry, and plum, layered with hints of crushed violets, baking spice, and a delicate touch of graphite.
Palate
Silky and rounded on the palate, with juicy black fruit at the core. Medium to full-bodied with refined tannins, there's a nice interplay between richness and freshness. Notes of dark chocolate, cedar, and subtle toast add depth.
Finish
Long and elegant, with lingering flavours of ripe fruit, sweet spice, and a touch of minerality.
