Cockspur Rum is a well-known brand of rum from Barbados, founded in 1884 by Danish sailor Valdemar Hanschell. The rum is produced using local Barbadian sugarcane and fresh coral-filtered water, which contributes to its smooth, rich flavour. It is distilled in column stills and aged in American oak barrels, which previously held bourbon, to develop depth and complexity.
