Following the success of the Aberargie Inaugural, their next distillery release is a pair of Aberargie Expressions. The inaugural release was praised, amongst other things, for availability, branding and quality of liquid, all of which are consistent for this release. The DNA of Aberargie can be distilled down to four key pillars; Golden Promise Heritage Barley, Laureate Barley, First Fill Bourbon Casks & First Fill Sherry Casks. This release showcases their Barley. 

Their Golden Promise Expression celebrates a barley variety renowned for its rich flavour and historic importance in Scotch whisky. Matured with a 68% influence from first-fill bourbon casks, alongside carefully selected first-fill sherry casks which make up the remaining 32%. This cask make-up highlights Golden Promise’s naturally structured and indulgent character, revealing layers of buttery pastry, baked orchard fruits and gentle spice.
