BRUICHLADDICH OLD SKOOL
Bruichladdich Old Skool is a 10-year-old, 50% ABV limited release created to mark 25 years since the distillery’s 2001 reopening. The retro label nods to Bruichladdich bottlings of the 1980s, but the liquid is very much in the modern Bruichladdich style: unpeated, provenance-led and distilled from 100% Islay-grown barley. Fourteen local farming partners contributed barley for this release, underlining the distillery’s focus on island agriculture. Matured entirely on Islay, it is drawn mainly from selected first-fill bourbon casks, with a small parcel of first-fill Sauternes adding extra fruit richness. It is non-chill filtered and colouring free.
