OFFLEY COLHEITA 2004 PORT
Offley is celebrated for its fruit-forward and accessible styles of Port, from the classic Ruby Port and distinctive RosΓ© Port to the Late Bottled Vintage and Vintage Port. The most recent vintage declaration is 2018, which LuΓs has described as "one of the finest, if not the finest, vintage years I have ever witnessed." The Offley selection of Aged Tawnies is equally remarkable, skillfully balancing the developed dried fruit flavours gained from oxidative barrel ageing with a refreshing acidity. The Colheita, a Tawny from a single vintage, is also an exceptional example of this balance.
Offley Colheita 2004 pairs wonderfully with a variety of rich and flavourful dishes. For desserts, it complements dried fruit tarts, crème brûlée, almond cake, or a classic pecan pie. Its complex and nutty profile also pairs excellently with cheese boards, particularly those featuring mature cheeses like Stilton, aged Gouda, or a creamy Brie. For a savoury option, try it with pÒtés or foie gras for an indulgent combination. Best served slightly chilled at around 14-16°C
