ZENATO AMARONE
Amarone Classico Zenato is an Italian red wine from Veneto. Made primarily from Corvina grapes, it features concentrated flavours of dried cherry and spice with a full-bodied palate. Best enjoyed at room temperature, it pairs well with game and aged cheeses.
The jewel of Zenato’s production, this wine is crafted from a selection of the finest grapes grown in the Valpolicella Classica region, specifically in the township of Sant’Ambrogio. The blend includes Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta, and Croatina grapes.
The grapes are dried for four months, with crushing not taking place until January. This is followed by a slow fermentation with skin contact. The wine is then aged for 36 months in large Slavonian oak casks, and further matured in the bottle before release.
This majestic wine is both intense and ethereal, offering notes of bay leaf and distillate-cured cherries. Its impressive balance across all components makes it perfect for long-term ageing.
